I’d describe myself as “accidentally” sober

Here’s a little about my story

It wasn’t my initial goal to quit drinking….

My Sobriety Journey

I wasn’t sure what I was signing up for when I started this journey in 2021. I joined a program with a mantra that resonated with me, “Progress over Perfection.” I had doubts that I could do the full 21-Day Challenge without a drink — and I was right, but I came close!

The program was a jump-start to my learning and curiosity:

  • I learned what alcohol actually does to your brain and body and the idea of “gray area drinking.”

  • I connected with other women who had similar thoughts about their drinking.

  • Most importantly, I learned that people can actually be happy, joyful, 100% free from thoughts about drinking, and absolutely THRIVING in the sober lifestyle.

Once I changed my beliefs about the role alcohol was playing in my life, that’s when the possibilities started to open up!

Building on 15 Years of Coaching Experience

When I started down my sobriety path, I already had 15 years of experience as a professional coach with numerous certifications. I was also working with an amazing life coach on various aspects of my life — from running my own coaching and consulting business to integrating wellness practices into my hectic schedule.

What I learned through the various programs was in alignment with my positive psychology coaching training. The real game-changer for me was learning how to ‘untangle’ my beliefs about what alcohol was providing in my life and see it for what it really was (spoiler alert: it’s an addictive poison!).

Finding the right combination of sobriety resources, connection with others, and personalized, one-on-one coaching helped me immensely to find solid footing in my own sobriety.

Working with a professional coach helped me expand my thinking about the possibilities of offering sobriety coaching — something I’d never considered in the past.

This solidified my next steps of pursuing a specific certification as a Sobriety Coach, so I can help others on their journeys to a happy, healthy, alcohol-free lifestyle.

I call it “Alcohol Freedom” Coaching.

It’s the difference between feeling liberated vs. fixated, and YOU can experience that too!

Alcohol Freedom Coaching

Removing alcohol from my life’s equation meant building new, healthy, alcohol-free habits, and dealing with stress in new ways. Redefining my relationship with alcohol was first step to reaching new heights in my own life. I truly feel FREE — no more obsessive thoughts about when I can have that first drink, counting how many I’ve had, or worrying about what I’d said or done the night before.

My accredited Sobriety Coach training is through The Sober Club, which focuses on a holistic approach to going alcohol-free. Your first year’s annual membership in The Sober Club is included with my Reach New Heights coaching package, for added inspiration, motivation, resources, and connection with others choosing to live an alcohol-free lifestyle.
